N.O.W. Project Health and Wellness
N.O.W. Project Health and Wellness provides screenings to teach K-12 students and families to practice healthy habits from eating healthy foods, exercising daily, preventing sexually transmitted diseases and unwanted pregnancies by engaging and educating them to ensure positive and lasting change. The program will effectively communicate the need for regular routine medical checkups while also facilitating the process to access such services.
The Needing Opportunity to Win (N.O.W.) Project serves to provide youth in grades 9-12 with both personal and professional development services that will build self-esteem while improving their academic and job readiness skills. Services provided include resume building, interview skills, financial literacy, college readiness, career planning and support groups. The goal is to empower youth with knowledge and confidence to be successful after high school. We offer this program at North Gardens High School, and North Miami Beach Senior High School.
